So this past weekend was great. Jill took me to Chataeu Elan for the weekend and we had a RELAXING spa weekend. We got up there on Saturday morning after breakfast at Waffle House. When we got up there, we checked in to the room and then we went straight to the spa for our first round of treatment. First was the "Winery Crush Exfoliating something or other". It was AWESOME. It was an all-over exfoliating scrub using crushed grape seeds and grape seed oil. It was really cool and it left my skin nice and smooth. Then after that I had a Swedish massage. (Jill was having her massage while I had the scrub and then we switched). Jill and I both agreed (after the fact) that we should have had the hot stone massage instead but oh well. It was good nonetheless. After that we had a little time to kill so we went back to the room, cleaned up little bit and then headed out for lunch. And MUCH to my surprise, my mom and Jill's mom were there waiting for us a lunch!! I had no idea that they were going to be there!! It was a VERY nice surprise! I was going to have pictures on here but my computer is having a few technical difficulties at this time. Anyways, after lunch we took some pics outside and had to hurry back for our facials. That was okay...Our ladies weren't very good. They didn't hardly talk to us (Jill's lady didn't say a WORD the whole time) until afterwards when they were trying to get us to buy the products they had used. Oh well, our faces felt cleaner afterwards despite them! After that we went to the hot tub and hung out there for little while. This is where we met some women. They were talking about their kids and midterms, etc and asked if we had graduated...When I said yes, she said, and what about college?.................................................I said, YES, WE GRADUATED. They she proceeded to comment about how young we looked....She asked how old we thought they looked and I just said that I'm not good at guessing ages (lucky for here I'm not too quick with my responses b/c I REALLY would have liked to see her face when I said, "I'm guessing upwards of 60??? You just look so old!" But, of course I didn't say that....) Sooo, after the hot tub we went back to the room and got ready for dinner at the Carriage House which ended being alright, nothing spectacular. The service was pretty slow (our waiter was new) and then they brought out the wrong dish, took forever to get me the right thing and then tried to charge us for the wrong (more expensive dish)! Luckily, the bread and butter was really good b/c that's about all I ate. Then we when back and when we got to the room, there were balloons, dessert and a t-shirt waiting for us in the room!! Jill's so good! So we took some pics there then went to the Irish Pud, Paddy's. We hung out there for little while and then decided to call it a night. Sunday morning we had breakfast and went to get our manicure and pedicure. They used hot stones to massage our arms and legs and that's when we decided that we should have gotten the hot stone massage instead of the swedish massage. It felt REALLY good. Then, after that we checked out and went and took some pictures outside in front of the little gazebo thing and then left the spa. We did the Winery tour which was pretty cool. Then after that we went and had lunch at Olive Garden and then Jill brought me back home. It was a really good weekend. So, that's my update for today!!
