So, it's been a while, again...I guess that just goes without being said so I won't start any more blogs that way.

I have some pics to share from New Year's. It was fun. Same as last year. I spent most of the afternoon with Paty (Oscar's sister-in-law) and with Yara and Juan Pablo. Some of us had a harder time staying awake than others:

Then, when Juan and Oscar got home from work (around 11:30pm) they rushed to get showered and dressed for the countdown. Then, we toasted the New Year.

After that, we went outside to play with fireworks. That's always interesting. I actually lit some this year (that may have been the first time that I lit anything other than sparklers!).

After that we went back inside and ate a VERY yummy meal. Once we finished eating and it started to get late, people started to get a little delusional. Okay, so maybe a lot delusional!!

Finally, around 5:30am we decided it was time to call it quits, especially since we had to get up for church in the morning. Then of course, all Sunday afternoon and night all we did was eat (a few times), sleep (a lot) and watch movies. It was a great way to ring in the New Year!

Then today I went and got my dress fitted. It was a pretty big ordeal b/c for a while I was afraid I was going to have to get a new dress b/c the people I talked with before I bought the dress didn't tell me that I wouldn't be able to fix some things about the dress, in fact, they told me it could be done. So, here's a bit of advice to all you future brides: Ask SPECIFIC questions to the head alterations person regarding ANY concerns you may have about your potential gown and DON'T FORGET THE NAME OF THE PERSON YOU TALK TO!! I promise you will be glad you did. Luckily for me, it ended up not being too big of a deal but I was on the brink of tears thinking I was going to have to give up this dress and settle for the second best...But, after a few hours, it all turned out to be okay. That's pretty much all I did today.

Oscar and I are going to get some professional pictures done in a few weeks. They are technically "engagement pictures" but to me that's a little misleading. That makes me think the camera guy was there when the guy proposed. So, I just call them casual pictures or something like that. I like that better. Anyways, I'm excited about it b/c Oscar and I don't have any good casual pictures (or formal for that matter). We're going to go to the Botanical Gardens and spend a few hours there taking pictures. It'll be fun.

Anyways, that's my update for now. I'll be back later!!
