Sorry it's been so long since I've written anything here. I'm sure you're all getting so anxious to hear from me!! Well, there hasn't been that much going on but it feels like there has been. I got a call from the dentist's office and he wanted to me to start with him asap but I told him that I'd have to put in my 2 weeks notice after my week of vacation and I haven't heard back from him since. So I'm guessing I'm not going to be taking that job. It would have been kind of nice, more money, etc. But oh well.

So I've been having to get stuff ready for vacation, which mostly means getting these tapes copied for everybody in the prasie team so that they can be passed out next weekend. My plan is that they listen to the tapes for a few weeks, get pretty familiarized with the music and then we have a Saturday workshop kind of thing where everybody comes one Saturday for a few hours and we go over all the new music. We just don't have enough time on Fridays and they all want to learn new music but they don't want to get to rehearsal early or stay late so we'll have to see how this works. Anyways, so I've been making these tapes and it's taking a little longer than I had planned. I have 90 full minutes of music on the tapes (like 20 songs) and so that takes something like 30-45 min to record a peice (with high speed dubbing). I was originally planning on burning some CD's but the only CD's I have (and the only one's I've seen) are only 80 minutes long and I would be worried that the people's cd players wouldn't accept the burned cd's seeing as 2 out of 3 of my mine won't play it. So, I'm stuck making a bunch of copies. I'm making 10 for this time and then we'll see if I need to make more or if that's enough. I'm guessing/hoping it will be enough but we'll see.

So, other than that, not too much has been going on. Oscar's sister, Flor and his neice, Nasheli are here from Mexico. They got here last weekend. Flor will be leaving on the 13th of this month but Nasheli will probably be staying for a year to go to school. Oscar's mom sent me a ring and some earrings. They're really pretty. I thought that was a very nice gesture on her part. I'll have to come up with something nice to do for her.

Vacation countdown: 2 days! (not counting today). Friday I'll be leaving straight from work (at 5:15pm) so I'll be getting to Hotlanta around 9 or 9:30pm on Friday, then off to Ridgecrest! Then when we get back, I have a date with Jill to the O.G. and then Oscar will be staying at the house on Saturday night (since he'll be in Atlanta to bring his sister the airport). Then we'll go to church on Sunday and head back that afternoon. It should be a good week. A nice break from everything.

Once I get back from vacation, we'll only have 6 more weeks in the FRC then we move to the new chapel in October!! I'm trying to pretend like 6 weeks is a really short time. When you've been there a whole year 6 weeks really isn't that long.
