So, I'm sitting here at SU. I had to print something out and I only have blue ink and I'd rather stop by the library here than to go buy new ink...How sad. So anyways, I thought I would update real quickly.
Not too much going on right now. This Saturday is Mandy's wedding. That should be interesting. It's weird. This will be the first time that I go to wedding as a MARRIED WOMAN! It's strange. Still hasn't really set in, but it's getting there.
Since we had choir practice tonight (b/c of Mandy' rehearsal tomorrow night) I'll have tomorrow night off. Oscar and I are going to go to Samford and see the concert with the orchestra and some choirs. I don't really know much about it, but, it's free and it could be fun. So, we'll do that tomorrow night.
This evening, I had parked at the "casita" (the small bldg across the street from the big church where the Hispanic church uses the upper floor). So, I parked there b/c I was going to give a piano lesson in there, but it wasn't open so I walked with the kids over to the main bldg to find a room with a piano. So, I left my car at the casita. So, after choir rehearsal, I went back over to the casita to get my car and go home and...there are 4 other cars there, one was parked behind me. So, I was blocked in. Okay, no problem, you think. Just go and ask the person to move. Well, see, that's the funny part. The first floor of this little house is used for "Community Grief Support"....I HATED to have to interrupt them to move their car, but I really had to go! So, I knocked on the door, peeped my head around the corner, asked if whoever it was could move there car...A lady said, oh that's me, and, as she got up to move her car, she put down her picture of her and her loved one...I'm assuming she was there to get support for her loss....How awful!!! I felt SO bad!!! She was really nice about it, but I still felt so horrible.
Oh, so I've been listening to my Portuguese tapes. I'm getting to where my pronuncation is better I think (that's where I had a hard time when I took it during school). It's getting better. I was trying to show off the other night by talking to Oscar and he was proud, but he kind of got his feelings hurt I think b/c I had told him that we were going to learn together, and here I am showing off and he has no idea what's going on!! Oops...So I've sort of put it on hold for a little while until he gets a chance to get caught up.
Alright, well, I think that's all I've got for now. I'll update again later!
