You all will not beleive what happened just now. So, I was in my apartment, minding my own business and there was a knock on my door. This is strange because it was about 6:30pm, I hadn't ordered pizza or anything and I wasn't expecting any visitors. So, I went to the door and there was this guy I don't know and he was on his cell phone and he had a look of panic on his face. He said "There's a car on fire in one of the parking spaces and 911 told us to evacuate in case it spreads to the apartment building!" WOAH. So, I said, "Thanks!" grabbed my jacket and my keys and went outside. And sure enough, there was a car, in the parking, in flames. I've never seen a car on fire so it was definitely a sight to behold. The figherfighters got there soon after I got out there and they started working on it. But, it took them a while because I guess the fire was on the inside but they couldn't get the hood up so then they whipped out the circular saw and started going at it. That threw up some sparks let me tell you! It was pretty interesting to listen to the guy who owned the car. He was out there standing with everybody else, watching. Then his phone rang and he answered "Hey, wussup" like nothing was happening. Then, when his friend asked what he was doing he said, "You'll never believe me, I'm standing outside my friend's apartment, watching my car go up in flames." The poor guy doesn't even live here. He was coming to visit a friend. He's been inside for like 5 minutes when he noticed lots of smoke outside the window. When he went out to see what it was, he saw his car below. Man, imagine looking out the window at your friend's apartment and seeing your car on fire. Anyways, while we were out there, both front tires blew out and that was kind of scary. One of my neighbors didn't come out until after the first tire blew out and she thought they were shots being fired and I was thinking "believe me, if those were shots fired, I would NOT be hanging out outside!!" Anyways, I came inside after about 25 minutes, once the fire was pretty much out and things were coming to a close. That was almost an hour ago and I just went back outside for a second to check on things and it looks like they're finished. I got a glimpse of the car and it is BURNT. It was black car anyways, but the whole front end of the car (where the fire was) is just completely charred. Unbelieveable. There's a phrase in Spanish that keeps coming to my head "Imagínate". It's nothing fancy but it just means, "Imagine". I mean, just thinking, it's not like this guy planned for his car to be completely ruined in a matter of minutes. He probably needs it to get to work tomorrow, not to mention that he probably had plans for tonight that DIDN'T include hanging out with the firefighters and policemen for the majority of the night! Anyways, I thought that was blog-worthy.

Also, yesterday, Oscar and I went and got our marriage license! We're halfway official!! So that's exciting. But other than that, not too much going on. They're going to be filming our service this Sunday for TV so that's exciting. It works out well because I think our music will be particularly good this week. Also, my mom is coming on Saturday for my bridal shower. That'll be fun.

But, I guess that's about it. Tomorrow is Día de la bandera in Mexico so be sure to celebrate!! Not really but you know...Just an interesting fact to tell your friends and co-workers! Alright, that's about all I've got.

wanna bet the guy had been smelling gasoline around his car for a few days and didn't do anything about it?

the fire was blog-worthy? that's sayin' quite a bit, since it seems pretty much everything else dosn't make the cut.
